Glenn sent in this mystery.
I have dialogued with Glenn several times about his transparent ornament and cap. At first I thought the cap was from the Czech Republic or Poland. Then Glenn compared the cap style to the modern Premier cap and the center hole looks identical and interchanges in size with only Premier ornaments.
Could it be that Premier was readying to launch their line for 1939 and couldn’t find an American cap manufacturer so they were going to source from Europe? Then they realized consumers might not realize their bulbs were made in America because the cap looked European?
We may never know.
