Thanks for the question. Opaque paint was first used about 1943 and the cap indicates the same time period. With conversion to cardboard caps in 1944- 1945 yours might have been produced around 1946. I think the previous owner hand-painted the moon and stars, perhaps as a gift or a children’s project.
